American made Pure3 is here

When we started DPS in 2005, our goal was to build the world’s most advanced ski. We achieved this after four long years of blood, sweat, and tears, building the first prepreg carbon sandwich ski, a historical breakthrough in ski engineering. For the last seven years, our Pure construction line of skis has been the pinnacle of ski engineering. It’s a construction that was thirty-percent lighter than conventional skis, and thirty percent torsionally stiffer. It was revolutionary in the way it skied. Skiers, and outdoor media around the globe, have lauded its benefits for years. Over the last two years we’ve been working to make our Pure construction line even better. With extensive research and design, coupled with innovative thinking, we have achieved breakthroughs previously thought impossible. We call it Pure3, and it is the next big leap in carbon construction. It’s a ground-up redesign of our award-winning Pure construction. We discovered how to make our carbon skis even more powerful, damper, and refined. We’ve taken carbon ski manufacturing to another level. Pure3 Construction Features and Benefits:
  • A smoother ride with less chatter thanks to enhanced SS Technology. We’ve added more patent pending SS Technology—aluminum dampening strips—into the cores of our skis, providing superior dampening that deliv- ers the smooth feel of a metal laminate ski without the added weight.
  • A damper ride on hard snow and powder thanks to PW2 Technology. PW2, DPS’ perimeter weighted inserts, utilizes similar perimeter weighting technology that has revolutionized the golf and tennis industry’s carbon fiber products to create a slightly weighted balance to the lightweight Pure3 construction.
  • A more reactive and powerful ski that still provides 30 percent more power, more reactive energy, and is more efficient than traditional metal laminate skis thanks to our aerospace carbon+nano technology.
With the launch of Pure3 Construction, Spoon Technology—including a variety of new ski models, and the birth of DPS’ Utah factory, skiers can assemble their perfect quiver at DPS’ retail partners worldwide, or on dpsskis.com.
