Targhee Goes Deep

We've had an amazing finish to the season here in Jackson. After a month-long dry spell, infrequent 2-4" inch "dumps", and an exodus of frustrated locals to warm, tropical locals mother nature finally delivered huge for us. The Village finished strong last weekend with closing weekend providing some seriously deep turns, but the best was saved for Targhee this week; with the lifts still spinning on that side of the Tetons the snow favored hill picked up a ridiculous amount of snow this week, enough so that they have extended their season another week until April 18th! We headed to Targhee yesterday to sample the new snow and couldn't believe how ridiculously good conditions were over there. Waist to neck deep blower put a lot of things in play that we weren't expecting when we got there:

Hippy turns were mandatory with snow so deep and light that I couldn't even get 138's to come up for air:
