Ridiculous Pow Footage

I know this footage is more than a year old but it's still rad. So rad it won the best Best Powder award in the 08 Powder Video Awards.  It makes me want to ski Japan.

It seems like every couple of years the film companies introduce us to a new country or region with endless untracked pow.  After a given region shows up in about five ski flicks it seems to fall off the radar.  I wonder if that's because the film crews collectively moved on to new zones or because all the exposure delivers big crowds who stomp down the fresh snow?

Anyone been to Japan lately? Still an untracked paradise or is it tracked out by 10 AM the day after a storm?
