In early May 2013, DPS was named Utah’s Small Business Association (SBA) Exporter of the Year for 2013. As an independent ski brand that has grown into a major player within the ski industry, we couldn’t be more pleased. Since our launch in 2005, DPS has made global exporting a key component of our business plan. However, exporting to global markets would have been considered a challenge for a small business just 10 years ago—our growth is a testament to our customers and loyal DPS fans. In 2012 Utah exports exceeded $19.1 Billion. Nearly 2,900 companies in Utah export to foreign countries, and 88 percent of these businesses have fewer than 500 employees, according to the International Trade Administration. DPS now exports more than 51% of its products abroad to 13 countries on four continents. DPS was nominated by Utah’s Zion’s Bank, for “exemplifying the innovation of America’s entrepreneurs." DPS is proud to continue to build the world's most advanced skis and represent our local community into the global market. With Utah saturated with many premier outdoor brands we are pleased to have first been nominated, and won. Thank you to all involved.
