The ‘Beyond Faceshots’ story continues with the introduction of the most advanced deep powder ski on earth. Designed exclusively for the best heli/cat/backcountry days, the Spoon features a convex 3-D shovel combined with a single-radius underfoot rocker and radical edge bevel for the ultimate in powder surfing sensation. The Spoon draws upon years of experience gained from refining the Lotus 138 and Lotus 120. The Spoon is a ski that requires very little up-and-down movement in deep powder providing incredibly fast slarving and angulated skiing with powerful reeling vertical sprays.

Spoon Review from Powder Magazine
“My friends keep telling me to go to Retallack. When I do, I want to pull the Spoon out of my ski bag and watch them drool with envy. The convex 3-D shovel combined with a single-radius underfoot rocker and radical edge bevel help to redefine powder skiing. It’s more like surfing. It features Pure PrePreg Carbon laminates and Nanotech Resins with specially designed poplar/x-wood core that mates with the carbon build, making it the only carbon sandwich ski in the world. That means they weigh half as much as other skis and have twice the strength of fiberglass skis. This ski is designed for fresh tracks that you find at the top-tier heli/cat operations. You don’t need to bounce up or down or drive your knees; you just need to be creative with your body movements.”
Spoon Review from Men's Journal
“The DPS Spoon features such a drastic rocker – the upward bend that improves how skis float in deep snow – that it extends across so its edges bend up like a spoon. The result is a powder-only ski that's buoyant even on edge. It yields a more advanced way of skiing, one that mimics the slashing possible on a surfboard.
