Sobering news with the release of a study conducted by the UFZ in Germany revealing PCB's, highly toxic, man-induced pollutants, have been found in snow at high elevations. Focusing on the terrain around Chile's Aconcagua, at an elevation of around 20,000 feet, the researchers found PCB traces in the snow. The levels are actually considered low, but their mere presence suggests that event the most remote regions of our world is not immune to our creations, and we best get our act together fast.
